Destination Marlborough

We've got the top three things you should be doing in Marlborough this Spring.

Spring is here so what better time to get out and explore the best New Zealand has to offer. This month we recommend heading to Marlborough where you can not only relax and unwind in the vines, but also partake in some of the events that they have going on. Here are our top three picks:

Gumboot Epicurean: 27th October
Award-winning restaurant Arbour and the caterers Feast Merchants have created yet another culinary adventure this year for you to attend. Stopping at secret locations you will race around by bus as chefs stop to showcase special food and wine producers along the way. Prepare to indulge in food and drink on this unique edible experience. To reserve a spot email here!

Rapaura Springs Garden Marlborough: From November 8 - 11th
Celebrate Marlborough’s stunning landscape with this event that showcases the very best the region has to offer with garden tours featuring everything from compact designer gardens to breath-taking country estates.  There will also be workshops where you can learn the best horticultural knowledge from both national and international experts including British garden designer Chris Woods and Kiwi celebrity chef Annabel Langbein. Click here to book tickets!

Ocean Vine Hop: 24th November
Enjoy the gastronomic combination of local seafood, wine and beer at this idyllic R18 festival. Showcasing an abundance of top class salmon, oysters, scampi, fish and mussels the event will also have tastings and masterclasses by celebrity chef Jax Hamilton. Once you’ve had your fill, sit back and relax to the sounds of the Jordan Luck Band and Automatic 80’s (which includes musicians from Opshop, The Feelers, Strawpeople and Alae.)
