Jasberry Rice is a new variety of rice which has been developed over 10 years through natural cross-breeding. It is considered the healthiest rice in the world and the newest superfood due to its uniquely high levels of antioxidants. With an ORAC of 13,370 µmol per 100g, Jasberry rice has 40 times more antioxidants than brown rice and 6 times more antioxidants than black rice. Compared to other known superfoods, Jasberry Rice has 2.8 times more antioxidants than blueberries, 4 times more than quinoa and 7 times more than kale. Antioxidants are important as they can prevent or delay the cell damage which is associated with a number of diseases including cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

The Jasberry Project
In 2011, Jasberry founders Neil and Palmmy met at an MBA school in Thailand after discovering they were both passionate about making a difference in the world. When learning that Thai farmers were among the poorest in the world, the idea was born to create a premium rice product that enabled farmers to earn a sustainable wage, while providing consumers with the best quality rice.
Neil and Palmmy believed deeply innovation being the key to helping farmers. After working closely with a rice scientist in Thailand, they succeeded in developing Jasberry - the world’s healthiest rice.
From initially working with just 25 farmers to grow Jasberry Rice, the program now includes 2,500 small-scale farmer families in rural Thailand. The Jasberry Project is transforming these farmers’ lives by providing training in growing this innovative rice breed and promoting organic farm management. This is helping Jasberry Farmers earn 11 times more than the average Thai rice farmer. These Jasberry farming families are also healthier than ever after making Jasberry Rice a staple part of their diet.

Jasberry Coconut Sticky Rice and Mango Pudding (Vegan)
This creamy and sweet dessert with soft Jasberry rice pairs perfectly with fresh and zingy mango, making it an easy & delightful dish that nobody can resist!
1 Cup raw Jasberry rice (approx. 2 cups of cooked Jasberry rice)
2 Medium size ripe mangos
1 Cup of coconut milk
2 Tablespoons coconut sugar
½ Teaspoon cinnamon
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Cook Jasberry rice according to packaging instructions, set aside.
Cut mangos in cubes to garnish, set aside.
Heat coconut milk in a pan.
Add coconut sugar.
Stir in cooked Jasberry rice, stir until all coconut milk is absorbed.
Turn off heat, add vanilla extract and cinnamon.
Serve and top with mango cubes.
