Matakana's Big Buzz Festival is a tribute to bees and all they do for us
A free family-friendly festival celebrating NZ bees and honey varietals is coming to Matakana this Valentine's Day.
With cooking workshops, educational talks and a giant beehive where children can experience 'being a bee', the first ever Big Buzz Festival is one you don't want to miss.
Held at Matakana Primary School, The Big Buzz festival is a stimulating day out experiencing the wonderful world of pollinators. From honey bees to cosmetics, health, gardening, conservation to enviromental awareness. Free to all, the festival will appeal to everyone - bee enthusiasts, conservationists, environmentalists, health practitioners, foodies, sustainable gardeners and plant specialists, environmentally conscious families, young people curious about the natural world and anybody wanting a good day out with the family!
