Tomorrow's Brunch – Wu & You

Grab your posse and make a beeline to Mt Eden Village this weekend – Wu & You are delivering the ultimate bottomless brunch that'll have you fizzing, from morning right through until noon.

When most Kiwis think brunch, we think poached eggs and a side of smashed avo, maybe a little crispy bacon, if you're lucky. Unbeknown to most, our American friends view the sacred space between brekkie and lunch quite differently.

Brunch is one big party in the States. And if it's bottomless, it's even better. Delicious brekkie fare served with seriously satiating brunch cocktails (think Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Bellinis, you name it) or, if you prefer to cut right to the chase, a bottle or two of your favourite Prosseco.

Thankfully, one of our favourite new locals has cottoned on to the concept here in Auckland, providing a delicious line-up of Asian-fusion brunch-time fare alongside your choice of crisp mid-morning tipple. The best part of all – it's bottomless.

Wu & You's glorious Bottomless Brunch (available for a rather reasonable $45 a head, every Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 2pm) includes a mouth-watering line-up of fresh, fusion classics that'll blow your mind. From the fluffy brekkie bao – the classic steamed bun, just breakfasty, filled with rashes of streaky bacon, a perfectly poached egg, fresh cucumber, spring onion and doused with Tonkatsu sauce – to the chilli scrambled eggs, a hot combo of spanner crab, spicy mayo, pickled radish, fresh herbs and crispy shallots, served on toasted sourdough; there's much to savour.

For the adventurous, it's hard to go past Wu's signature, the extremely Instagramable Mr Krab's Nori Taco. Succulent soft-shell crab encased in a seaweed taco on a bed of sushi rice, topped with edamame, whipped avocado and spiced coconut. We suggest finishing your feast with a lighter option, cleansing the palette with Wu's Granola – fresh coconut yoghurt, mango tapioca, banana mousse and oats, topped with nuts and seeds.

This is the perfect Sunday Fun-day activity, or the ideal way to kick off the weekend come Spring. Park up for the morning in Wu's sun-soaked, open-air courtyard, and sip away the day with good food and great company. We're talking unadulterated brunch-time bliss.
