Emersons 'Set Phasers to Stun' West Coast IPA
This West Coast IPA really is for those who like to boldly go. Emerson's brewers certainly did. With three different types of hop added to the boil, followed by even more after the ferment. Some might call it highly illogical. But the result is a strong aroma, with citrus flavours and a crisp dry finish. It certainly stunned the judges at the Malthouse West Coast IPA Challenge, where it won bronze.
It then travelled at warp speed, to stun the judges at the 2021 NZ Brewers Guild Awards even more, Set Phasers to Stun was awarded one of only two Gold Medals handed out in the IPA category. Currently available in only one galaxy, but at all good liquor stores … stunning!
