Behind the Scenes – The Jellyologist

As you may have gathered, the Dish team are quite familiar with photographing and styling food, but our recent shoot with Jessica Mentis, The Jellyologist, was an entirely new experience. Take a look behind the scenes...
In our latest issue, Alice Galletly 'steps into the whimisical, wobbly world' of The Jellyologist – the creative project of spatial design and architecture graduate Jessica Mentis.
Photographer Aaron McLean worked with Jessica and DishArt Director Fiona Kerr on the photos which accompany the story. Jelly proved a tricky medium to work with (something Jessica knows all too well) but thanks to a bit of teamwork and a lot of patience, the photos turned out beautifully.

Before I left the studio, I couldn't resist capturing some dramatic wobbling action.
