Champagne Piper-Heidsieck, the official Champagne of the Oscars for the last six years, is rolling out the red carpet in Auckland this November for the Piper Secret Cinema.
Set over two nights, Thursday 10th November and Friday 11th November 2022, Piper-Heidsieck will take you to the grandest garden party of the year. Held at a gorgeous, secret location, that will only be revealed days before, serving exceptional Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, you’ll be treated to an outstanding classic film.
Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, has had a long association with the cinema, starting in 1933 with the Laurel and Hardy film Sons of the Desert, the debut big screen appearance for any bottle of champagne. By the 1950’s, the entire cast of Hollywood had taken a fancy to Piper-Heidsieck. Alongside legends such as Ava Gardener and Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable and Fred Astaire, Piper-Heidsieck often played best supporting role.
As Marilyn Monroe famously said, “I go to bed with a few drops of Chanel No 5 and I wake up each morning to a glass of Piper-Heidsieck; it warms me up.”
Since 1993, Piper-Heidsieck has been the official supplier to the most legendary international film festival, the Cannes Film Festival. Piper-Heidsieck has also partnered with such renowned film festivals as Deauville, Berlin, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco where the Piper-Heidsieck Award has recognised Al Pacino, Francis Ford Coppola and John Cusack. At the Sundance Film Festival, Nicolas Cage and Benicio Del Toro were both awarded the “Piper-Heidsieck Tribute to Independent Vision". Partner of the Cinematheque Françoise since 2008, Piper-Heidsieck’s commitment to the preservation of cinematographic heritage has been widely acknowledged.
