New opening: Bluebells Cakery, Kingsland
Karla Goodwin's delicious new venture has Kingsland's residents singing her praises...
Prepare to satisfy your sweet tooth, Aucklanders, Bluebells Cakery has a delicious new residence.
Officially opening its doors on Friday, Bluebells' significantly larger Kingsland store will mark baker extraordinaire Karla Goodwin's third post in the city. With the Mt Eden site soon set to close, Bluebells' prime new location is a welcome addition to the city-fringe neighbourhood.
What's more, from Friday April 27, Bluebells’ sought-after high tea can be enjoyed in even more places – from the scrumptious new dining space or in the comfort of your own home.
Relocating from Eden Terrace to a much larger space on Kingsland's New North Road, the new cakery has its own private room, offering a decadent high tea from just $30 per person. Coinciding with Bluebells' new opening, the cakery is also launching its own takeaway high tea, from $35 per person – right on time for Mother's Day.
Boasting a selection of Bluebells’ sweet and savoury treats, the takeaway high tea set comes with a three-tiered disposable cake stand for displaying all that glorious food in style with each set designed to share between two. All you need to do is add champagne or, if you fancy, match your favourite morsels to your signature Harney & Sons blend.
“Our in-store high teas have been so popular that we felt the need to relocate so we can meet demand. We’ve created a beautiful private space within the store that can host up to 12 guests at one time,” says Bluebells' founder Karla.
“We were finding on occasion that not everyone was able to make it into the store, so we wanted to offer something for them. The takeaway high tea includes our custom made disposable cake stand, allowing people to recreate our signature high tea experience wherever they are.”
Bluebells Cakery, 361 New North Road, Kingsland, officially opens on Friday, April 27. To learn more about Bluebells Cakery or place your takeaway high tea order, simply visit their website here.
