Rosé all Day
Kick off Waitangi weekend with a salute to Rosé Day and some of New Zealand’s premium pink wines.
Established seven years ago by Sip NZ, Rosé Day is a celebration of our local producers and their premium Rosé, which is now our fastest growing wine variety. In 2010, our exports of Rosé wouldn’t have even been enough to fill an Olympic size swimming pool, but according to last year’s figures, we now export 10 times that amount!
Locally, Kiwis are just as keen to pick up a bottle of the pink stuff and enjoy a sip year-round. But no season is more suited to this classy little varietal than summer. Charmingly delicate from blush to vibrant, from floral aromas and herb notes to strawberry, red fruits and spices – there's a reason so many people refer to it as 'summer in a bottle.' And none are better than these beauties right here.
