Sarah Tuck
[email protected]
As Editor, Sarah is passionate about delivering content that resonates with the dish audience. She is also a talented photographer, stylist and cookbook author in her own right, and it is that broad skill set combined with a depth of understanding and connection with dish readers that has seen dish awarded the People's Choice Award for three consecutive years at the Webstar Magazine Media Awards, as well as Best Lifestyle Magazine at the most recent awards.
With a regular spot on TVNZ Breakfast, three dish cookbooks published in three years, and as a regular host of restaurant dining events Sarah is always looking at ways to broaden the reach of the dish audience and connect more deeply with readers. When she's not working, Sarah can be found cooking up a storm in her Ponsonby kitchen, gathering her sons, friends and family for fun times with fabulous food – or sitting at the scrabble/chess/crossword table deep in cheerful concentration.

Chrisanne Terblanche
[email protected]
Baking, braai, bread and butter are a few of Chrisanne’s favourite things so designing the pages of dish send her into zen state of mind – even when she’s on deadline. Hailing from South Africa, she worked in food-related art direction and graphic design for more than 10 years before moving to Auckland in 2018. She does the design of all editorial pages in dish and loves to bring the words and beautiful photography together to create appealing and balanced pages. She enjoys a good pun and tries to sneak those into headlines whenever she can. She comes from a family of foodies, with a brother who is a chef in Paris and parents who taught her to make béchamel sauce when she was six. She considers herself very lucky to be able to combine two of her passions, food and design, in her 9-5.
Yvonne Lorkin
[email protected]
After a decade of Auckland city rock 'n roll working for record companies, MaxTV, 95bFM and MTV and founding popular voiceover agency Bigmouth back in the 90s, Yvonne moved home to Hawke’s Bay to carve out a tasty new life writing about food and wine for newspapers and magazines. She became a mother of two and a wife of one, and her first ever gig for dish was writing about snail farming back in 2007.
While food infatuation and a cookbook addiction hinder her from ever getting out of overdraft, it’s her expertise in wine and all things booze-related that’s kept her employed as our Drinks Editor for the last thirteen years. She’s the highly experienced wine, beer and spirits judge who curates our regular Tasting Panels, she collates interesting drinks news for our By The Glass pages, and she pairs spectacular sips for our recipe sections. Yvonne appears regularly on television and radio, hosts wine and food events around the country, co-hosts The Y&D Podcast and she’s also the Co-Founder and Chief Tasting Officer of WineFriend.co.nz, the most technologically advanced, personalised wine subscription service in this part of the world. You can follow her wine reviews on www.yvonnelorkin.com and tasty inspo on Instagram @yvonnelorkinsta
Olivia has been a regular contributor to dish magazine for the past 6 years. When she’s not creating recipes for dish, she develops recipes and photography for a range of New Zealand food brands and runs a blog, The Hungry Cook. She enjoys working with the creative foodies at dish who share her passion for all things food.
Olivia comes from a large blended family and loves how food brings them all together. The style of cooking she most enjoys is preparing comforting family-style meals for her loved ones – with a campari sour in hand. She lives north of Auckland with her husband and two young daughters. Besides cooking, she loves eating out, spending time at her local beach and has a particular soft spot for sea salt Kettle chips and hazy pale ale.
Throughout the day, Amelia works as a product developer for a mainstream supermarket, but come weekends, she immerses herself in creating sweet and savoury recipes for dish. As a creative at heart, the opportunity to develop recipes for dish keeps her very fulfilled after sitting at a desk all day! She loves being able to connect and work with other chefs and food stylists. With a background in food technology, the art and science of food has always fascinated her. Her love for cooking began with sweet treats and cakes, so she really enjoys being able to work on the sweet recipes for dish. Seasonal fruits are a must for her when baking. She is not a huge red meat eater herself, and also loves inventing new ways to cook and serve the humble veg. She has admired the dish team since she was a kid, so being able to work for the magazine is an absolute dream come true! The inspiration is endless, and the people are just amazing.
