Take Your Pick of Award-winning Rosè this Summer with Montford Estate Wines
Whether it’s the impact of the Barbie blockbuster and the world’s obsession with pink this year, or the fact that it’s so versatile and food friendly, the star power of Rosé doesn’t appear to be fading any time soon.
And if you’re looking for a new favourite to enjoy this summer, look no further than the team at te Pā Family Vineyards of Marlborough (producers of te Pā, Montford Estate, and Pā Road Wines), who are becoming New Zealand’s Rosé experts, with some huge wins for their wines in recent weeks.
The award-winning producer’s Montford Estate 2023 Rosé just won the Trophy for Best Rosé at the prestigious New Zealand International Wine Show. The team also enjoyed success recently for its flagship te Pā Pinot Noir Rosé when it was awarded a gold medal and spot in the coveted New World Wine Awards Top 50, which recognised the best wines in the country for under $25. The wine was the pick of the bunch on a recent AM Show appearance!
And team te Pā is no slouch when it comes to other wine varietals; the Montford Estate 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, and Montford Estate 2021 Pinot Noir were also both awarded gold medals and Top 50 spots in the New World Wine Awards competition, completing a hat trick of wines in the popular supermarket-run wine awards programme. The team’s ever-popular Pā Road range continues to thrive in supermarkets, and the 2023 Pinot Gris just picked up a gold medal at the New Zealand International Wine Show.
About the trophy winning Montford Estate Pinot Noir Rosé
Visually stunning, with a pale peachy pink colour, this Rosé is a crisp, fruit driven and dry wine that is equally suited to food as it is on its own. Candied red fruit flavours mingle with violet florals and spice to create a delicate aromatic profile.
The palate is bursting with white strawberry, confected raspberry, and pink grapefruit flavours. Medium bodied, supported by a juicy acid profile and an elegant vein of spice. The finish is crisp, pure fruited, and best enjoyed chilled.
The Marlborough-based team recommends pairing their Rosés with fresh kaimoana like oysters, clams, sashimi, pāua and crayfish as well as garden salads and barbecued meats. For a delicious summer canape idea, wrap salty prosciutto around slices of sweet juicy rock melon and top with fresh basil or a few rocket / arugula leaves. Pair with a glass of Montford Estate, te Pā, or Pā Road Rosé and have yourself a real good time!
Easy on the wallet and boasting the all-important sustainably grown and vegan-friendly credentials, the Montford Estate Rosé and all the other wines in the te Pā Family Vineyards range are set to be the wines of choice on Kiwis tables this summer.
Available now in major supermarkets and wine stores across Aotearoa-New Zealand. Distributed exclusively by Beverage Brothers.
