On the 15th of November, thirteen of the world's top chefs will come together in one kitchen at SKYCITY to raise funds for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand. Book now to reserve one of the limited public tickets.
Returning for the fifth time this year on the 15th of November, SKYCITY Dining for a Difference brings together some of the world's best chefs for a very worthy cause - to raise money for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand.
The event was started by Peter Gordon, whose sister Tracey was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in 1995 and he donated bone marrow to save her life. The transplant was successful and Tracey leads a healthy life today.
The experience motivated him to help support the six children and adults in New Zealand that are diagnosed with a blood cancer on average each day. Using his culinary skills and his access to a network of talented international and Kiwi chefs, as well as corporate support from SKYCITY and others, Dining for a Difference was born.
This year, the names of 13 star chefs will be placed in a hat to decide which table they are cooking for. The 300 diners will then experience a unique four course menu with matching wine. A limited amount of public tickets are now on sale.
