Ripe set to be Wine and Food Event highlight of Summer
Two Raw Sisters will be showcasing their skills in the Quartz Reef Masterclass Marquee
Make your way to the shores of Lake Wanaka on Saturday March 18, 2023 for what is set to be one of NZs finest Wine and Food Showcases.
Locals and visitors alike are excited to join the wide range of Central Otago Wine and Food producers on show in the stunning setting of Glendhu Bay, Lake Wanaka.
The Ripe team have secured some big names in the industry to hold masterclass events in the Quartz Reef Masterclass Centre. These include NZ’s newest superstar chefs the Two Raw Sisters, Best-selling authors, passionate cooks and enthusiasts for starting with your plants. While they take healthy living seriously, they love having a good laugh, entertaining and sharing their inspirational story. A must see!
Among the Wine Masterclass presenters will be another of NZs top Wine personalities, Bob Campbell Master of Wine. Join him for “Match like a Master” a practical demonstration of food and wine matching with three wines and several food types. This one hour session promises to be as entertaining as it is instructive.
The event will be located within a 10 minute drive of Wanaka township and a stone’s throw away from one of New Zealand’s most beautiful campgrounds, Glendhu Bay Motor Camp. Attendees will get to enjoy the exceptional panoramic lake and mountain views of the majestic bay area while enjoying some premium wine and food supplied by Central Otago’s best producers.
Event organiser and Wanaka local Nathan White is proud to be in charge of Central Otago’s marquee wine and food event “We can’t wait for next year's event, having Covid postpone it this year was a shame but that means this one will be twice as good!”
Billed as Central Otago’s premium Wine & Food Festival, Ripe hosts the regions best wineries including popular names like Akarua, Amisfield, Cloudy Bay, Dicey, Gibbston Valley, Misha’s Vineyard, Maude Wines, Prophets Rock, Valli and the list goes on.
Tickets are selling fast to access the Maude wine lounge, this area includes complimentary wines served throughout the day from local legends Maude Wines and some delicious Canape’s served up by local legends The Platter Share.
Transport is sorted with Buses running from Wanaka town centre, so look out for the transport link on Ripe’s website or of course you could just stay across the road at the Glendhu Bay Campground.
