Get Ready to Toast: Martinborough’s Iconic Festival Returns January 19
Toast Martinborough, the iconic celebration of Martinborough’s world-class wines, makes its much-anticipated return on Sunday, 19th January 2025 – Wellington Anniversary Weekend. Get ready for an unforgettable summer day filled with exquisite wines, delicious food, and vibrant live music all based around a unique and walkable festival road.
“Toast has always been a special event for Martinborough,” says Ariel Codde, General Manager of Toast Martinborough. “This year, with our new date and walkable Festival Road, we’re excited to offer an elevated, compact, and boutique experience that showcases the very best of the region.”
A Toast to Summer
Formerly held in November, Toast Martinborough now embraces the height of summer with a new date—Sunday, 19th January 2025. Held during Wellington Anniversary Weekend, attendees can enjoy an extra day to relax and explore all that Martinborough has to offer. With new hours from 11am to 7pm, festivalgoers can savour a leisurely afternoon and evening of wine, food, and live entertainment.
Welcome to Festival Road
Toast 2025 introduces the exciting Festival Road, a picturesque, 2.5km walkable route connecting the festival’s six winery sites: Ata Rangi, Tirohana Estate, Poppies, Moy Hall, Luna, and The Runholder featuring Te Kairanga, Martinborough Vineyard and Palliser Estate. This traffic-free road makes it easy for guests to walk between each vineyard, with a shuttle bus available between the sites.
Culinary Delights and Local Brews
Guests can look forward to pairing Martinborough’s wines with delicious culinary creations from incredible food purveyors such as Egmont St Eatery, Mao & Co, Bicycle Kitchen, GoodTimes, Trestle & Mortar, Plonk, Graze, Colombo, Black Dog BBQ and Rose & Smith. In addition to wines, craft beers from local brewers like Garage Project, Choice Bros, Martinborough Brewery and Parrotdog will also be available.
Beyond Toast: A Weekend of Exclusive Experiences
Toast Martinborough 2025 offers more than just the main event. On festival day, enjoy the Runholder VIP Experience, featuring a dedicated lounge, three-course feast, and access to the Magnum Bar and Sundown Party. At Ata Rangi, access the Vintage Room with winemaker Helen Masters, or savour a three-course Winemakers Lunch at Luna. On Saturday 18th January, start the party early with the vibrant Lighthouse Gin Party, a perfect prelude to the main event!
