Winetopia presented by Singapore Airlines - 2017
Enjoy your favourite drop or discover an entirely new varietal at New Zealand's largest wine tasting event.
Join a whole host of connoisseurs at the country's ultimate wine tasting event, Winetopia.
After enjoying a sell-out year in 2016, Winetopia will return to Auckland and debut in Wellington, boasting an action-packed line-up of award-winning wines, spectacular producers, entertainment, talks and tastings by leading wine gurus.
“New Zealand boasts over 670 wineries, far too many for an average Kiwi to check out in one lifetime," says event director Rob Elliot.
"We’ve created Winetopia to take attendees far beyond the well-known, behind the closed door of the vineyards and cellar doors of our beautiful country and into the minds of the people that make our world-famous drop."
Journey through New Zealand’s stunning wine regions, from Northland to Central Otago, sampling all the Hawke’s Bay, Martinborough and Marlborough wines in-between. With three sessions across the 2–day event, wine enthusiasts, lovers and connoisseurs can taste and take away their top picks from hundreds of wines from 60 amazing wineries in Auckland, and over 40 at the Wellington event.
The Auckland event is scheduled to take place at Shed 10 on Queens Wharf, running from Friday June 9 until Saturday, June 10. Shed 6 in Wellington will play host to the event on Friday July 14 and Saturday July 15.
New Zealand's own Master of Wine Emma Jenkins and renowned Australian wine expert Nick Stock will be on-site in Auckland, with prolific wine educator Bob Campbell (MW) and New Zealand’s newest Master of Wine, Stephen Wong in Wellington.
For avid foodies and wine-lovers, a weekend of entertainment, fabulous food and wine is not to be missed.
