Announcing the Puhoi Valley People’s Choice Award regional winners

Kiwis have voted, the results are in and the regional winners of the Puhoi Valley People’s Choice Award are to be congratulated.
The People’s Choice regional awards are part of the 2017 Meadow Fresh New Zealand Café of the Year awards and recognise the most popular café in each competition region, determined by the highest number of customer votes.
The 2017 Puhoi Valley People’s Choice Award regional winners are:
Upper North Island region | Surf Shack, 123 Emerton Road, Waihi Beach
Auckland region | Calendula Cottage Café, 12 Collie Road, Glenbrook
Lower North Island region | Catching Pen Café, 78 High Street, Dannevirke
Wellington region | Sweet Vanilla Kitchen, 49 Pretoria Street, Lower Hutt
Christchurch region | Arabica Licensed Café, 36 McMillian Street, Methven
South Island region | Jester House, 320 Aporo Road, Tasman
These local cafés have won their regional crown. The café with the highest number of votes in the country overall will receive the National Puhoi Valley People’s Choice Award at an event held in Auckland, February 2017.

For the fifth year running, the 2017 Meadow Fresh New Zealand Café of the Year Awards highlight the diverse, the delicious and the most delightful of our great NZ café culture, shining a light on outstanding cafés across the nation. Additional categories include the Hellers Classic Kiwi, Hellman’s Best Suburban, Tucker’s Ridge Pies Best Rural and Tararua Best Metro/CBD.
