We've Found the Solution to Stressful Family Mealtimes

It's hard to find a way to get a delicious dinner on the table with no stress, waste or nasty additives... Barker's have solved that problem.

Twists of flavour like sake, NZ honey and NZ red wine are special touches of delciousness in any family kitchen, lovingly dashed into sauces, casseroles, curries and kitchen experiments for a little extra pop of flavour. So when we saw Barker's had used them in their sauces we were intrigued. And indeed, when we tasted them it was clear that Barker's Meal Sauces have been created with that extra bit of love. It's as if your mum, dad, grandma or another family foodie has just made them before you walked in the door all ready to stir into your meal - they taste homemade.

The Meal Sauce range features six flavours to help Kiwi families create exceptional, everyday meals with ease and without any waste. They're designed to bring back the enjoyment to fast and easy dinner prep - just add meat, seafood, veges or legumes (perfect for any leftovers) and still end up with the same deliciousness as scratch-cooked meals. Made in Geraldine, they feature New Zealand veges wherever possible and are preservative and artificial additive free.
Sweet’n Sticky; Coconut Curry; NZ Apricot with Chickpea and NZ Tomato with Blackbean are vegan friendly, NZ Mushroom & Red Wine; NZ Honey Teriyaki with Sake are vegetarian and, with the exception of Teriyaki Sake, they're all gluten free.
As for how to use them, the sky is the limit and though you can just add any protein, there are simple meal ideas on the side of the jar plus 18 tailored recipes on their website (including the delicious sausage bake pictured above).
We're fans because Barker's have put effort into making sure their sauces are tasty, suitable for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, and are also easy and convenient to put together as well as healthy - they tick all the boxes for busy Kiwi families wanting a stress-free meal-time.
