Ponsonby Central: Your Passport to a World of Cuisine

While it looks unlikely our visions of a European holiday will be materialising this winter, Ponsonby Central offers the opportunity to journey through a world of cuisine, all under one roof.
Drawing inspiration from overseas marketplaces, the concept brings a welcoming vibe to Ponsonby, a place where you can decide what will satisfy your tastebuds on a whim. Take in your surroundings and let your senses guide you! The exposed kitchens will immerse you in what feels like a worldly dining experience, right in the heart of Auckland. Offering more than just drinks-after-dark and dinner; Ponsonby Central’s coffee, cafes and juice nooks are a highlight, open all day and night, 7 days a week.
Ponsonby Central is primed to get its biggest makeover since the 2012 launch now that years of development are finally approaching completion. With the constant ‘heart of Ponsonby’ ethos in mind, the expansion will see the site double in size. The first phase of the development is complete with the underground carpark open to over 80 parking spaces.
The final piece of the development is well underway and will bring boutique cinemas, more retail stores, signature restaurants, eateries and office spaces to Ponsonby Central. Due to open early 2022, there will be even more for customers to love.
For the time being, Ponsonby Central is your passport to the world, with the tastes of Turkey, Italy, Thailand, Japan, China, Argentina, France, Southeast Asia, Korea and Venezuela all under one roof. The trickiest part will be choosing between the more than 20 eateries and over 13 cuisines!
