Sabato Celebrates 30 Years

Sabato offers a superb range of traditionally crafted artisan products personally sourced by founders and co-owners, Jacqui and Phil Dixon.
Over the last 30 years this intrepid couple have curated a wonderful range of fine quality specialty ingredients from Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and locally. Sabato has bravely pioneered the introduction of so many pantry staples and game changing ingredients we have come to love and rely on in New Zealand kitchens. Sabato is all about unique ingredients that take flavour in food to another level, while offering so many ways to make entertaining easy by letting the fabulous ingredients do all the heavy lifting for you. As Sabato celebrates their 30-year anniversary in typical style with generous 30% less offers to retail customers, in-store and online, subscribe to their e-newsletter, so you are amongst the first to know about these.

The Sabato Mt. Eden store in Auckland is a delight and you will find a warm welcome awaits, as well as assistance from the friendly and knowledgeable staff should you need it. Sabato has been awarded a Top Cheese Store status since 2021 and you will discover some of New Zealand’s best award-winning cheese, alongside selected European cheese styles, in-store. These are complemented by wonderful European & local charcuterie, homemade pâté, olives, cornichons, guindillas, fruit pastes, Julie Le Clerc chutney & relishes, a great selection of crackers, crostini and so much more!

You will also find a delicious range of ready to heat and eat frozen meals and treats ‘From our Kitchen’, all made in the Sabato kitchen located within the same complex as the store. Many of these are the creation of top executive chef, Kate Fay, who joined Sabato after many years of acclaim while leading the kitchen brigade at Cibo restaurant. Kate now focuses her talents on using Sabato’s fabulous products in gorgeous gourmet meals and has also brought together a fantastic range of cocktail canapés. Take them from the freezer and after 10-15 mins in a hot oven, they are ready to serve!

As you will have gathered, Sabato is all about making life easier, and freeing up time so you can have more fun. That philosophy isn’t restricted to just food and wine, it also extends into cookware and gourmet gifts.
