Gin-tastic ways to beat the blues
Gin has a reputation for being a summertime drink, but just wait ‘til you try some wintry gin cocktails
INGREDIENTS
Thyme for Gin:
2 sprigs thyme
1-2 slice apple
1-2 slices lemon
60ml Gin
1 teaspoon honey
150mls apple cider
Smoky Martini:
70 mls gin
15 mls whisky
lemon peel
METHOD
For the Thyme for Gin, put ice in a glass with thyme, lemon and apple slices, mix gin and honey together, add the cider and pour over ice to serve.
For the Smoky Martini, stir gin and whisky together with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with lemon peel to serve.
