Halloween Spider Donuts
Photography Josh Griggs.
These are so cute and work best with supermarket brownies or muffins as they are softer and easier to roll than a more expensive one. Tubes of coloured icing that set hard and the eyes are available in the baking aisle at supermarkets.
INGREDIENTS
chocolate brownie or plain chocolate muffin
edible eyes
plain or cinnamon sugar donuts with a hole in the centre
tube of black icing or thin strips of liquorice
METHOD
Roll tablespoons of chocolate brownie or chocolate muffin into balls. Place two dots of icing on each ball and add the eyes.
If needed, trim off a little of the donut hole so the ball will fit easily into it without falling off. Nestle the ball into the donut.
Pipe four legs on each side of the donut.
