New Zealand Emerging Whites
Happy New Year everyone!
It’s that time again where our next Dish Tasting Panel will focus on New Zealand Emerging Whites, with results to be published in our April/May 2025 issue.
For this tasting we're looking for any New Zealand still white wine that's not predominantly chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, riesling, pinot gris or gewürztraminer. So, we want to see your chenin blanc, verdelho, arneis, albarino, vermentino, viognier, gruner veltliner, petit manseng, marsanne, muller thurgau, muscat, pinot blanc, roussanne, semillon, sauvignon gris, wurzer, briedecker, blends thereof and all that groovy goodness…
Submissions for the tasting will close on Friday Jan 17th 2025 and Judging will occur Friday 24th Jan.

If you’re a distributor please check with your local wineries to see if they’re interested in entering. Following the Tasting Panel, you will be notified immediately if your wine is awarded a top ranking and will be given the opportunity to have the bottle photographed to appear in the editorial feature. It will also appear on our website at dish.co.nz
If you are not contacted by our editorial team within one week of judging, you are welcome to email us for your scores and notes. Those wines awarded top rankings also earn the right to wear the ‘dish Tasting Panel Selection’ sticker.
We supply the Top Ranked wines with one complimentary roll of 1000 stickers to use for marketing and promotion. And additional stickers can be ordered for $24 ex GST per roll (1000 stickers).
PLUS, we’ve now got our gorgeous Silver Medal Stickers available for all those achieving this level and our editorial team will be in touch post-judging to let you know if your entries are eligible.

The tasting is open to NZ-produced wines only. All wines entered must be available for purchase as at 31st March 2025.
A fee of $75 is payable per wine entered by each individual company
The deadline for submissions to be received is 5pm Friday 17th Jan 2025. Please submit TWO bottles of EACH wine entered. IMPORTANT please note new address for entries.
