Need to know: Negroni Week at QT Queenstown

Make a beeline to Queenstown and treat yourself to a masterfully-mixed Negroni.
If your tipple of choice is gin-based, orange in colour and typically enjoyed in a short, crystal glass – we suggest you read on.
From June 4th until June 10th, our favourite southern belle, QT Queenstown, will be raising a glass in celebration of Negroni Week and counting down to the ultimate Negroni Showdown. Throughout the week, QT's own Reds Bar will showcase their tailor-made Negroni menu, with all proceeds going to the Starlight Foundation.
Negroni Week launched in 2013 as a celebration of one of the world’s favourite classic cocktails, all while raising money for charities around the world. This one-of-a-kind celebration has since grown to include more than 7,700 venues worldwide, collectively raising close to $1.5 million for charitable causes.
"We’re stoked to be a part of Negroni Week again this year," says QT's food and beverage director, Josh Smith-Thirkell. "It’s a great way to show appreciation for the Negroni, a cocktail that has stood the test of time and our cause. The Negroni is a QT favourite and an acquired taste – so we’re hoping to entice the unfamiliar with the signature and modern mixes.”
Cocktail-lovers will be invited to warm up with Reds’ Classic Negroni, available for $12. For the ambitious, sip and savour your way through the adventurous Negroni Menu, with each cocktail priced at $15.
To cap-off a spectacular week dedicated to the classic cocktail, The Negroni Showdown harnesses a little healthy competition and calls on the replete of Queenstown's finest bartenders to show off their creative concoctions.
