Farro Fresh open Orakei Bay Village store
Gourmet shoppers rejoice – the team at Farro Fresh have officially opened their fifth gourmet food store.
When it comes to gourmet food offerings, Auckland's Eastern Bays have been lacking for quite some time.
Faced with making the great produce pilgrimage across town to Greenlane or braving the traffic to Mt Wellington's bustling Lunn Ave, Remuera and Orakei-based food shoppers can now rest easy – Farro Fresh have opened a brand new site in your neck of the woods.
Situated inside the new Orakei Bay Village complex, a fresh new space that's equipped with everything from a Father Rabbit boutique, Bowl and Arrow and a Brothers Beer Bar among other offerings, the fifth Farro Fresh is everything you'd hope it would be.
Flooded with natural light and oozing the kind of charm you'd expect from your local butcher, the deli, produce, barista and speciality bread hubs complete this generous new space. With friendly and familiar Farro Fresh staff and baristas making the move over to the collective's newest premises, there's little doubt that the new store will delight locals and commuters alike.
"We are so excited to be opening our new Orakei store in such a fantastic location," says Farro founder Janene Draper. "We hope Farro Orakei will quickly become a neighbourhood favourite – a place to stop for a coffee and to pick up Farro delights, for those of all ages, or as a stop for those commuters on their way home around the bays or stepping off the train to then head home with a bag full of deliciousness."
The new food store, sitting comfortably above Orakei's Hobson Bay, was in fact the original site of choice for the Farro Fresh founders, who launched their very first store 10 years ago.
For the busy commuter making a mental grocery list on the 6 o'clock train home, dinner just got a whole lot easier.
