Magic matches with Dish and Esk Valley

It was a night of sensational Esk Valley wines matched with superb food at the recent Dine with Dish at Shed 5 in Wellington....

First course:Akaroa salmon, big eye tuna and Bluff oyster. Matched with Esk Valley Verdelho 2013.
Second Course was Roasted Hapuku with Winemakers Reserve Chardonnay 2013
Third Course: Duck and porcini risotto with Esk Valley Syrah 2012
Fourth course: Angus eye fillet with ox tail and black truffle ravioli. Matched with Winemakers Reserve Merlot/Malbec/Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
Fifth course: "Fruit Salad and Ice Cream" with Late Harvest Chenin Blanc, 2013.

Those who braved a chilly Wellington night were rewarded with a delicious evening at Shed 5, enjoying the Dine with Dish and Esk Valley dinner. Five courses were matched with wines from Esk Valley's award-winning range of wines. Winemaker Gordon Russell and Dish Editor Victoria Wells hosted the night and highlights included a sneak preview of the new release Esk Valley Rosé 2014, a magical match of big eye tuna with the Esk Valley Verdelho 2013 and chef Geoff Ngan's clever interpretation of "Fruit Salad & Ice Cream", matched with the Esk Valley Late Harvest Chenin Blanc.
