For those with a penchant for fine wine, take the opportunity to sip the day away while learning more about this thriving little wine region from local producers, located a mere 40 minutes north of Christchurch. North Canterbury is steadily gaining momentum as one of the premium wine-producing regions in New Zealand, particularly in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling.
