Waiheke Garden Festival 2017

Escape the mainland for a weekend of beautiful blooms, delicious Island bounty and tips and tricks from a whole host of local experts.
The annual Waiheke Garden Festival is scheduled to return on Saturday, November 11.
Enjoy unmatched island views and beautiful blooms with private garden-owners donating their personal gardens and properties for display during the Waiheke Garden Festival weekend. Now in its 17th year, this much-loved event – formerly known as the Waiheke Garden Safari – is a must-do on the island’s events calendar.
This year, organisers have updated the festival to deliver a new and improved format, with eye-catching garden displays, as well as how-to workshops and lectures from local experts. Enjoy a glass of bubbly with New Zealand gardening guru Lynda Hallinan for a special Gala Garden Party on Sunday, November 12 at Sacred Blessing Sanctuary. Throughout the afternoon, guests will be treated to foodie delights thanks to Dish columnist and renowned food personality, Julie Biuso.
In keeping with previous years, all proceeds from the Waiheke Garden Festival go to a wonderful cause. The garden festival and annual art auction continue to be the primary fundraisers for the Jassy Dean Trust and have so far raised more than $800,000 since 2000. The Trust provides much-needed financial assistance for Waiheke families and children who required urgent and ongoing healthcare.
