Waiheke Oyster Festival

This festival celebrates New Zealand's finest oysters with a day of cooking demonstrations, wine, craft beer and, of course, beautiful food.
A prized delicacy that's been hailed throughout history, New Zealand is lucky to produce such fine, fresh oysters. Celebrating oysters fresh from the pristine waters of Te Matuku Bay, Waiheke Island's Oyster Festival is set to be a beautiful day of indulgence.
Top chefs Des Harris (Clooney) and Marco Edwards (Te Whau) will prepare and present the plump, juicy oysters, which will be matched with the finest boutique wines from Waiheke Island, along with a selection of craft beers.
There will also be live music, a chance to learn from the oyster farmer himself and a selection of other seafood delicacies as well as vegetarian options.
