Tickets are now on sale for the ever-popular Melbourne Food & Wine Festival – here's a snapshot of the mouthwatering events taking place in March.
Taking place over 10 delicious days, the 2016 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival will kick off with the World's Longest Lunch on March 4th.
With a menu by renowned Melbourne chef Guy Grossi, the lunch will entertain over 1600 guests, stretching along the main straight of Melbourne’s Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit. On the same day, 20 Regional Longest Lunches will take place simultaneously in beautiful locations across Victoria.
In the City of Melbourne, food lovers of all ages can discover regional flavours along the River Graze, (4 – 6 March) which will see the Yarra River become 'a food and wine lovers playground bursting with culinary hot-spots, free entertainment and regional flavours'. Meanwhile, the epicenter in Queensbridge Square, Festival Hub: The Urban Dairy will showcase the world’s leading cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream makers.
Other eye-catching events include a gourmet cinema, a marriage of fine dining and theatre and a camp out and tour of a lush kitchen garden.
Talented and inspiring chefs from across the globe will be hosting masterclasses throughout the festival – you can choose whether to sample their food or join in the fun with a hands-on cooking class. Find out more about the classes by clicking here.
