For holiday-goers who frequent the sandy beaches of the Coromandel Peninsula, the famed Coromandel Mussel Kitchen is no doubt already a family favourite.
This February, the kitchen will cook up a day dedicated to their favourite mussel dishes, paired alongside live music and their very own home-brewed beer.
Come Waitangi Weekend, locals and holiday-makers alike will receive the unique opportunity to taste the region's very best in one afternoon at the annual Coromandel Mussel Festival.
Festivities are scheduled to kick off at 2pm on Sunday, February 5, with live music from a handful of local favourites on offer throughout the afternoon. The whole family are welcome to head along, with event organisers offering a special fixed rate for those under 12 and free entry for children under 5.
