In high spirits: four indulgent alcohol-inspired recipes
Photography by Olivia Galletly.
Take your cooking to new heights by pairing your favourite Liquorland spirit with a dynamic dish.
Warm your cockles with bold, liquor-laced and tipple-inspired recipes. Spicy, creamy, rich and sweet, Olivia Galletly’s dishes are cleverly matched with popular Liquorland spirits, to create the perfect culinary experience.
But that’s not all. We’ve partnered with The Rees Hotel Queenstown, to offer you the chance to win the ultimate luxury getaway. Find more information, and the link to the entry form, at the bottom of the page.
Gruyère Cheese Soufflés
If sweet dreams are made of cheese, then we’ll be going to bed thinking of these indulgent soufflés. Made using gruyère and parmesan, they’re rich and have a moreish nutty flavour. Enjoy alongside a wee dram of Chivas Regal 12-year Blended Scotch Whisky on the rocks.
Tequila, Chilli and Lime Chicken Wings
Do your thing, chicken wing – add some Jose Cuervo Tequila to your dinner and let’s get this party started. Sticky, moreish and packing a punch, this booze-laced snack is finger-lickin’ good.
Cashew and Coconut Lamb Curry
A creamy, dreamy curry should always be served alongside onomatopoeia-inducing poppadoms and an ice-cold Bombay Sapphire Dry Gin and tonic. We like our curry spicy and our drinks stiff.
Ginger Loaf with Port-poached Pears
We see your ginger cake and raise you our stickier, more decadent version – complete with pears lovingly poached in Taylor’s 10-year-old Tawny Port. Oh, and we’ll go a step further by drizzling the loaf with a lick-the-bowl-clean-it’s-that-good caramel sauce. And because more is more, we suggest you serve it alongside a glass of port. Bliss.
To get you in the winter spirit – pun intended – we’re offering you the chance to win the ultimate winter getaway. We’ve teamed up with The Rees Hotel Queenstown, to ensure your escape exudes luxury.
