Taking Ice-Cream to New Heights
Photography by India Essuah.
Forget the seaside, this summer the best place to enjoy ice cream is on top of the Sky Tower.
SkyCity and Kapiti have come together to create a café amongst the clouds.
Level 50 of the Sky Tower has been refurbished to house the Sky Café, which specialises in ice cream and a selection of cheeseplatters, baked cheese dishes and grilled sandwiches.
The café's cold-stone ice cream bar lets you customise your own flavour from Kapiti's delicious selection – sprinkles, toppings, and chocolate sit in glass jars ready to be chosen.
Whether you're visiting Auckland briefly or consider yourself a local, the panoramic views are sure to impress. It's the most beautiful spot in the city to enjoy a quick bite or linger over your dessert.
