Sgroppino
Photography by Aaron McLean.
Sgroppino is a classic after-dinner beverage from the Veneto region in Northern Italy. It’s made by combining lemon sorbet and Prosecco. We have added a splash of vodka and mint for a refreshing drink that can be enjoyed as a dessert or served as a cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
chilled Prosecco, Italian sparkling wine
chilled vodka
frozen lemon sorbet
fresh mint leaves
METHOD
Quantities for sgroppino can be adjusted for personal preference, but use a generous quantity of sorbet in each glass. Add a splash of vodka and a mint leaf and top up with Prosecco. Stir to combine and drink immediately.
